In a time of growing demand for legitimacy, integrity and performance of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), SGS has designed a Service Standard that aims at providing all stakeholders with the highest possible assurance that a given NGOs objectives and activities are implemented in an accountable, efficient and sustainable manner.
We perform an independent third-party assessment of NGO’s conformity level versus internationally-recognized Best Practices (translated into Objectively Verifiable Indicators). Results of which measure their mastery of the risks attached to their mission. Criteria are taken from a fairly large selection of eligibility requirements currently used by public sector agencies, private foundations and philanthropic brokers. A very unique methodology enables the audited NGO to translate its achievement level into a focused Continuous Improvement program. Such strictly neutral due diligence information system can only generate confidence in an NGO’s management.
